- TETA Sponsorship and Labour Department Involvement: Our past learnerships have been fully sponsored by the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA), and we have collaborated with the Labour Department in Benoni for the recruitment and interview process, ensuring we select deserving and qualified candidates.

- In 2017/2018, we successfully trained 17 learners with full funding from TETA.
- In subsequent years, we secured funding to train 25 learners.
- Despite the challenges of COVID-19, 19 learners successfully graduated from this program.

The Alika Training Supply Chain Management Learnership Program
Our Supply Chain Management Learnership program is a comprehensive and structured learning experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical workplace training.
Key features of the program:
- Duration: 12 months
Curriculum:
- 30% classroom-based theory: Covering the fundamentals of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and relevant legislation.
- 70% workplace practical training: Providing hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain management, allowing learners to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
- Mentorship: Learners receive guidance and support from experienced mentors in the field.
- Stipend: Learners receive a monthly stipend of R3,000 to cover their basic living expenses during the program.
- Certification: Upon successful completion, learners receive a nationally recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management issued by TETA or QCTO.
Cost Breakdown per Student:
- Tuition and stationery: R3,700 per month
- Student stipend: R3,000 per month
- Monthly Total per student: R6,700 per month
Total cost for 100 students: R6, 700,000 million for the entire year

Who Can Apply?
Our Supply Chain Management Learnerships are specifically designed for unemployed South African youth aged 18 to 25 who are residents of the Ekurhuleni municipality, with a focus on those living in Benoni, Daveyton, Kingway, Wattville, and surrounding communities. 1
To be eligible for the learnership, you must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a resident of the Ekurhuleni municipality.
- Age: Applicants must be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 25.
- Identification: Hold a valid South African ID.
- Education: Matric certificate with a pass in Pure Mathematics.
How to Sponsor the Supply Chain Management Learnership Program
There are several ways you can support Alika Training’s Supply Chain Management Learnership program:
- Financial Sponsorship: You can make a financial contribution to cover the costs of tuition, stipends, learning materials, and other program expenses.
- In-Kind Sponsorship: You can donate resources such as laptops, computers, printers, or vehicles to support the learning process and facilitate transportation for learners.
- Offer Employment or Work Experience: You can provide employment opportunities or work experience placements for our learners during their training, giving them valuable on-the-job training and enhancing their employability.
- Donate Unused Lifting or construction Machinery: If you have any unused lifting machinery, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, Telehandler, or construction machinery, you can donate it to our academy to support our bursary training programs.

In addition to our Supply Chain Management Learnership, Alika Training also offers a Forklift Bursary Programme specifically for unemployed youth in Benoni aged 18 to 24. This program provides comprehensive training and certification in forklift operation, equipping young people with valuable skills for the logistics and warehousing industries.
You can support our Forklift Bursary Programme by:
- Offering employment or work experience: Provide 30 days of employment or work experience to our forklift bursary recipients, giving them valuable on-the-job training and a pathway to employment.
- Donating unused lifting machinery: Donate any unused forklifts, cherry pickers, Telehandler, or construction machinery to our academy to support our training programs.
